Twitter Growth on Autopilot

Well, 24 hours have passed since my last post on the results of my new Twitter techniques and the results are great!  I’ve gained another 200 followers!  All on autopilot.  I spent about an hour getting everything set up.  That was 48 hours ago.  Since then I haven’t touched my account.  And I’ve gained about 400 followers! I’ll let this run a few days then I’ll post my results again so be sure and check back.

More Twitter Followers On Autopilot

Last night I implemented some new techniques designed to help me get more followers on my Twitter account.  These techniques are fairly straightforward, simple to do, and not at all black hat or anything.  If fact, it helps me give more value to my followers without me having to be as directly involved.  It truly is almost on autopilot.

Before I put these techniques into play, I had just over 1,000 followers.  Tonight, 24 hours later, I have just over 1,300 followers.  That’s almost 300 new followers in just 24 hours!

I’m going to be posting my results from these new techniques over the next couple of weeks so be sure to drop back by and check out my latest follower count.

Energize Your Marketing Copy With Trigger Words and Phrases

Here’s a great article on trigger words and phrases that will energize your marketing copy. Remember, it’s not just about telling a story or giving information. It’s about creating emotion. Emotion that motivates the reader to take the desired action.

Never Surrender Your Dream

I was going  back through some of my old emails and found this one from Charlie.  It struck a particularly resonant chord with me today, so I thought I’d share it with you.  Maybe it’ll resonate with you, too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you have a dream today?
Can you see yourself in one year, three years, ten
years?
Far from some pie-in-the-sky hype, dreams are the
currency of the Internet.
Many reading these words right now dream of quitting
their job and working at home.
Some dream of having a home of their own.
Sadly, some don’t dream any more.
But we MUST dream in order to thrive!
From the time that man has been able to record thought
individuals and societies have dreamed big dreams.
So what is YOUR dream today?
No matter whether you dream of riches and a luxury
lifestyle or of more time to develop deep relationships
or ways to serve your fellow man better (or all three!)
your dream is your roadmap.
Without it how will you know where you are going?
Recent events have driven home the fact that life is
short indeed. Too short to spend it working at a job we
don’t love.
Listen to these words by Brian Tracy …
“All successful people men and women are big dreamers.
They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every
respect, and then they work every day toward their
distant vision, that goal or purpose.” – Brian Tracy
If you were my brother or sister, this is what I would
say to you.
You must have a dream to make a dream come true.
And you must *never* surrender your dream.
If you are like most people you will spend more time
working than doing any other activity. Yet many don’t
like their work.
If you are in that situation you will be encouraged by
the words below.
First things first, I truly believe that ANY man or
woman of average intelligence or better can make a full
time living online.
It is with that basis of belief that I share, from my
experience, five simple keys to help you define your
dream and take action toward that dream.
Time is fleeting. Begin now.
—> Embrace The Change
The Internet really has changed things.
The fact is, jobs exist today that didn’t five years
ago.
Even though many online marketers would have you think
that the word job is a four letter word, there is
nothing at all wrong with having a job.
I’m *very* grateful for the people who work with me,
and I hope they feel the same.
Whether we work for ourselves or others, we all have a
job to do.
The GREAT news is that the Internet has created so much
MORE opportunity than before.
Just think, only 20 years ago there were no pay per
click specialists, SEO outsourcers, eBook editors or
any of the 100 other jobs we can do online.
How does this apply to you?
Start by identifying your skills and what you want to
do (more on this in point 2) and then look for that
type of work online.
You might start by working for someone else on a
contract basis and then move into your own thing.
Or you might just find a partner and form a working
relationship that spans decades.
If you can dream it, you can DO it!
—> Know Yourself
What do you REALLY want?
Spend some time with yourself and think expansively.
If you could do anything, if money wasn’t a factor,
what would you do?
Keep asking until you find an answer.
When you find that answer pursue it with all your
heart.
It might take days, weeks, months or even years before
it becomes real. But real it will become if you move
toward it with all your heart.
Once you know what you really want you will become an
opportunity magnet for the thing you desire.
As you think, so you will become.
—> Research Your Answers
You will be shocked to discover the money earning
possibilities online.
Pick your favorite search engine, start a bookmark
folder just for this, and find everything you can about
your passion.
Visit forums in the area of your interest and lurk for
a while, learning from those who are active. When you
are ready announce yourself to the forum and start
looking for ways to get active in the area of your
interest.
—> Be Willing To Start Small
You may only be able to commit a few hours at night to
your new field because you have to feed the family.
That’s OK.
Time is your ally.
And time will prove if your idea will work.
Be willing to work for the chance to learn and soon you
will be where you want to be.
Internships work – consider starting there.
Jobs like being a virtual assistant, a net researcher,
or doing graphic art for e-Books exist today because of
innovative thinkers who found their passion.
Find your passion.
Don’t stop until you find (or create) that type of work
that both makes you happy and pays the bills.
Who knows, YOU might be the innovator who creates the
next online industry.
Winston Churchill said “The nose of the bulldog has
been slanted backward so it can breathe without letting
go.”
When it comes to our dreams we need to be like the
bulldog. We must never surrender our dreams.
Because having a dream is a beautiful thing indeed.
Words of Wisdom [Andy Rooney]
The following are some great words of wisdom attributed to Andy Rooney.  I’m not sure if he’s really the one who stated them first.  But they’re a great read anyway.  I hope you enjoy them.  And maybe pick out one or two favorites….
I’ve learned….. That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
I’ve learned…. That when you’re in love, it shows.
I’ve learned…. That just one person saying to me, ‘You’ve made my day!’ makes my day..
I ‘ve learned…. That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.
I’ve learned…. That being kind is more important than being right.
I’ve learned…. That you should never say no to a gift from a child.
I’ve learned…. That I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the strength to help him in some other way.
I’ve learned…. That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.
I’ve learned….. That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.
I’ve learned…. That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.
I’ve learned…. That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
I’ve learned…. That we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.
I’ve learned….. That money doesn’t buy class.
I’ve learned….. That it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I’ve learned… That under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I’ve learned…. That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I ‘ve learned…. That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I’ve learned…. That love, not time, heals all wounds.
I’ve learned…. That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I’ve learned… That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
I’ve learned….. That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
I’ve learned… That life is tough, but I’m tougher.
I’ve learned…. That opportunities are never lost, someone will take the ones you miss.
I’ve learned…. That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I’ve learned…. That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.
I’ve learned…. That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
I’ve learned…… That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I’ve learned….. That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you’re hooked for life.
I’ve learned…. That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.
I’ve learned…. That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
Giving appreciation and HONOR to entrepreneurs
One of my favorite writers isn’t a writer.  It’s Perry Marshall.  He’s an entrepreneur who has been very successful helping others conquer the maze of building a business.
I received an email from him today.  I’m on his mailing list and get emails several times a week.  Most are informative.  But the one today was special.  I want to share it with you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Stephen,

I just came home from a seminar by Paul Manwaring called “A Culture of Honor.” As he spoke about how carelessly people criticize each other on TV and in daily life – and how uplifting it is to receive words of affirmation – I was struck by how little appreciation most entrepreneurs get from… well, anybody.

The evening news is no celebration of business people, that’s for sure.

The government ain’t doing much to make your job easier.

So… why would you risk everything, endure multiple bankruptcies, work 17 hours a day for weeks and months at a time, to be the first to be taxed and the last to get paid in a game that offers no guarantee of success whatsoever?

It takes a very special kind of person.

It takes a person who is driven from the inside by passion and vision and a bit of eccentricity. It requires you to be so dissatisfied with the status quo that you feel like you can endure anything so long as it’s not the present mediocrity.

You’re one of those people who just can’t stand following the car ahead of you on the expressway to some cubicle for the rest of your life.

Or maybe you have this idea for a product or a way of doing something and you’re convicted to your very soul that the world needs to see things *your* way for once.

In any case, I doubt it’s because you’re just some greedy, money-grubbing over-achiever who needs to take a chill pill. No, that popular depiction is deeply misleading.

I just want to say… Wherever you are in your journey, I’m proud of you, I HONOR you, and I cheer you on in your effort. Any honest business is a noble and honorable thing.

I’ll never forget my 2nd trip to Africa. I’m somewhere southwest of Nairobi Kenya, visiting George Karanga and his wife Jane, two very special people who run a foster program for AIDS orphans.

I’m meeting a woman whose husband is dying of AIDS, he’s down to 66 pounds… all kinds of kids who’ve lost both parents to HIV and now live with aunts, uncles or grandparents… people who are deathly sick for lack of $1.00 for a bus ticket to go to a medical clinic… a woman who’s 8 years a paraplegic, living under a tin roof in a dark mud hut, her sole entertainment her radio, her cat, and her kind neighbors who look after her.

Not a cheery scene.

But the epiphany occurs when I meet a fellow named Paul Mungai, who runs a cobbler shop.  Paul, ironically, is crippled, but he knows how to make and fix shoes.  And he knows how to run a business.

He started with just $50.00 of seed money and now has, by Kenyan standards, a sound business.  He’s feeding his family, he’s paying his rent, his kids have uniforms to wear to school, and everyone in his care has enough to live on.

There’s a gleam in his eye. We exchange a few words and share our mutual understanding:  There is one and only one path out of poverty.  The one and only path out of poverty is entrepreneurship and business success.

It ain’t government.  It’s not social programs.  It’s not charity.  It’s not even jobs or technology.   It’s entrepreneurship.

The message was loud and clear: What you and I do may be daring, crazy, irrational and largely misunderstood.  Condescending do-gooders may tell you you’re greedy or too successful.  Your brother-in-law may think you’ve got your head stuffed in a cloud.

The government may think it has the right to confiscate your profits and give them to “education” or other well-intentioned social programs.  You might cater to some strange market, doing something that most people consider frivolous.

But the fact remains: What you and I do is profoundly important.  You and I pave the road that leads from poverty to success.  We create the ingenuity and jobs and wealth that makes good medical care possible.

We create the world that has enough to eat, the world where even welfare kids in housing projects get three square meals a day.

So don’t ever apologize to anyone for doing what you do.  If it wasn’t for you, me and the rest of us entrepreneurs, “they” would still be sleeping on dirt floors.

That conversation with Paul in Kenya sparkled with the mutual awareness of what I just described to you.

And as George took me to see other recipients of Micro-Enterprise seed funding – a lady selling sardines and tomatoes on a nailed-together stand on the side of the road, several women selling fruits and vegetables in the local markets, I thought of the entrepreneurs I meet in the US, Canada and Australia.

I thought of those rah-rah Amway rallies I was going to years ago, and the easily-exploited naivet? that’s so characteristic of the “Biz Op” market as it’s sometimes called.

And like it or not, it’s that raw enthusiasm and independent spirit that drives the prosperity of the West.

Where that drive, imagination and ingenuity are lacking, people starve – literally.

So yes, some business people are too greedy.  Some entrepreneurs don’t care about their fellow man.  Some people do make their money by dishonest means.  But remember, the character quotient is no better on the poor side of the fence.

So if you’re prospering by means of an honest enterprise – or if you’re struggling to put one together – then you are a hero.  The bards and minstrels may not sing songs about you, and your handsome face may never appear on The Apprentice, but what you do every day when you get out of bed is a worthwhile and indeed necessary thing.

Don’t ever forget it. What you do matters. A lot. It’s worth celebrating and it’s HONORABLE.

Perry Marshall

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that’s a man that understands what entrepreneurship is all about.  If not for us and others like us, the world would still be foraging in the woods and eating raw food.
Thanks for reading.  I really do appreciate it.
Guns Don’t Kill People, Doctors Do [Humor]
Doctors vs. Gun owners
Think about this:
DOCTORS
(A)   The number of physicians in the  U.S.  is 700,000.
(B)   Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
(C)   Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy of  U.S.  Dept of Health and HumanServices.
Now think about this:
GUNS
(A)   The number of gun owners in the  U.S. is 80,000,000 (Yes, that’s 80 million).
(B)   The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C)   The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, ‘Guns don’t kill people, doctors do.’
FACT:   NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.  We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!
Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!
10 Simple Ways To Overcome Depression and Sadness
Obama’s Effort To Take Your Gun Away![HR45 Blair Holt Firearm Act]
Very Important for you to be aware ofnew bill HR 45 introduced into the House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn’t know about this because it is flying under the radar.
To find out about this – go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
.It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver’s License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update – change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 – Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
If you think this is a joke – go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family – pass this along.
Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m. in the morning. He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and “spring into action”. Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA.
This is just a “termite” approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense – chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. (Did Obama promise transparency? It seems his motives are more and more transparent while his methods are hidden in back rooms.)
This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.
If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe. After working with convicts for 26 years I know this bill, if passed, would make them happy and in less danger from their victims.
Please.. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA
